Frequently Asked Questions

We hope you find the answers to your questions. If not, please contact us via email and we’ll get back to you.

  • Is Pilates suitable for beginners?

Yes, our classes are suitable for all women, including pregnant and early postpartum. We tailor all of our classes for all levels and individual needs.

  • What should I wear to a Pilates class?

We recommend wearing comfortable, breathable clothing. Form-fitting attire allows us to see your alignment, but we encourage you to wear what makes you feel comfortable.

  • Do I need to bring my mat and equipment?

We provide you with mats and any necessary equipment for our classes, including boxing. However, you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

  • How long is a typical Pilates class?

Our classes run for 45 minutes.

  • How often should I attend Pilates classes to see results?

We believe consistency is key. That’s why we recommend attending classes 2 to 3 times a week for optimal results.

  • Can I join a group class, or do you offer private sessions?

We offer group and private sessions to cater to your preferences and needs. Our reformer group classes are capped at 9 so we can still provide you with a personalised experience.

  • Do you have certified instructors?

Yes, all of our instructors are certified and experienced in teaching Pilates.

  • Are there different types of Pilates classes?

Yes, we offer a variety of classes, including mat Pilates, reformer Pilates, and barre. We also have cardio-based Pilates and boxing classes available for those wanting that little extra burn. But if you’re searching for some deep bod-mind connection, our yoga class is perfect.

  • Is Pilates suitable for people with injuries or medical conditions?

We believe Pilates can be adapted to all needs, including injuries, conditions, and pregnancy. However, we ask that you inform your instructor of any health concerns before the class so each move can be tailored appropriately.

  • Can I bring my baby to class?

Yes, we currently offer a monitored crèche with our qualified sitter for specific classes during the week. Crèche is $6 per child 4 years and younger or $50 for a 10-pack. When crèche times aren’t on, kids 4 years and up can play in our crèche area while you get your workout done.

  • What’s the cost of Pilates classes?

Our pricing varies depending on the type of class and package you choose. We have package deals and membership options for cost-effective choices. You can see our pricing here.

  • Can I schedule classes online?

Yes, you can book and manage your classes through our online scheduling system or by downloading the Mummy Physiques app.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 12-hour cancellation policy for all our classes. If you cancel with less than 12-hours notice, you’ll lose your credit for that class and may be charged a penalty fee.

  • How long before class should I arrive at the studio?

We ask that you arrive approx. 15 minutes before class starts so you can soak in our beautiful new space.

  • Are there age restrictions for Pilates classes?

Pilates is suitable for all ages. We currently offer classes for children, adults, and seniors. We also have a Tween-only class that runs during the school term.

  • How does the waitlist work?

Our waitlist allows you to reserve a spot in a full class, so if by chance someone cancels their spot, you will be automatically booked. You’ll receive a notification and email letting you know when this happens. Our waitlist positions move fast, so we recommend double-checking the app and your emails before heading into the studio.

  • How come I can’t book my classes in advance?

Our timetable is currently being opened for bookings weekly. This approach allows more members to book into classes, rather than join a waitlist, while also removing last-minute cancellations due to overbooking.

  • When does my week open so I can book?

Your new week opens on the day you signed up for your membership. For example, if you joined us on a Monday, you’ll receive your weekly credits every Monday, allowing you to then book in.
